While I like a lot of the Grateful Dead's studio work (live, not so much), everything Jerry Garcia did solo is just wonderful.  Released in 1978, the album was not a huge commercial success, but it deserved to be and if you like any Grateful Dead, you'll love this disc.  The cover is a black red, gold, and blue Egyptian-styled image that is so iconic you could see it on the leather jacket of a motorcyclist or as a brand logo.
