I am headed to the beautiful Oregon coast to spend a week at the Pacific Ocean with family. While I'm gone, I've asked a few fellows to write a bit for the blog, men whose writing and ideas I've respected and admired over the years and who graciously accepted my request to donate content to Word Around the Net.

Martin Hale writes on the internet on various sites and has his own site as well. Martin has decades of experience in various fields including health care and medicine and I've often been impressed with his wisdom and clarity of thought.

Eric Neill often comments on Word Around the Net and runs his own business in Oklahoma. Back when he had more free time he had a blog which included some fascinating frontier stories of men and women from the 19th century who helped build America. He has written on my blog before when I was gone to the coast.

The man known only as Cavalier X has his own blog, the Guardian Watchblog which he infrequently applies his historical learning and thoughts to events around the world.
