After I finished the Wrath of God post, Glenn Beck chimed in with a comment on his radio show:

I’m not saying God is, you know, causing earthquakes, I’m not not saying that either.

What God does is God’s business. But I’ll tell you this, whether you call it Gaia or whether you call it Jesus, there’s a message being sent; ‘Hey, you know that stuff we’re doing. It’s not really working out. Maybe we should stop doing some of it.’ I’m just saying.

Here's the problem I have with this kind of post. It isn't impossible that God might have some statement or message in disaster its that aside from a prophet standing up and declaring the message clearly, we can't know exactly why it happened. And our first response should always be to want to try to help those in need - and to repent ourselves, not condemn others.

*Another update, the Firefighters in Wisconsin are not happy with the Union leader who sent out extortion letters to supporters of Governor Walker. WKBT reports that "Many local members of the WPPA say they were left in the dark about the letter warning of a possible boycott."

The blog Springola, about and by cops, notes that "The consensus amongst several of SF’s readers is that James Palmer, the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Professional Police Officers Association (WPPA), is a man whose tactics have disgraced that organization’s rank-and-file members."

The one who sent it out is a lawyer who apparently acted without the knowledge of at least the police rank and file and perhaps even the union leadership. He's certainly not getting the support of the fire fighters, from what I can tell.

In my opinion. Not humble at all. There is no current God based disasters, the Holy Bible is the fully revealed word of God, there is no purpose now in instant judgments on the wicked, it will happen when the time is ripe. The thing is, finite things break, the earth moves, earthquakes and volcanoes happen. Fires occur, they always have, so have storms and other horrible things. Till the earth is cleansed at the end of time and evil is totally removed, this will occur. God is not punishing people for anything in specifics now like he did in the Bible.

When I was a kid I lived in Utah, and the Boy Scouts was taken over by Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS Church). This, so called religion, practices underage polygamy, they send the boy s off on missions to divide the underage sisters among the dirty old men of the clan. Now when these underage girls get pregnant, these same dirty old men, send them to the state to get their welfare checks . You should see some of the palace homes that are paid with welfare checks (not on just one of course). By the way this is the newest religion that was created right here in United States of America, I guess their also in AZ, CA, NM, TX, NV, CO, OK. When someone hides behind religion to do or say something that is wrong we should stand up and point it out (right the wrong). Someone should ask Glenn Beck about it, he seems to have all the answers.
