WORDS AND MUSIC, COMMUNICATION

Words and music (my only tools)
Communication
-Mother Love Bone, Man of Golden Words

For a long time now I've been posting lyrics and thoughts about songs and artists that I enjoy. Whether this is of much interest to readers or not I am unsure, yet it does provide me at least a half dozen hits a day from search engines and a few links from other sites, so it is useful from a business sense.

The series started after I listened to the song The Music Must Change by the Who while in the car going somewhere. The music was so well done, the song so well engineered, the lyrics so interesting that I wanted to write about it. It seemed like something I could do as an extended series, and so far it's been going on for years now, adding an occasional song as I notice them or remember one. I even wrote about an entire album by the Alan Parsons Project.

At one point I had the songs tied together in an online website called Fine Tune, but I was unable to fit all the songs into the list after a while and some were just not available on their service. For a time I had a module that would play the songs so you could listen while you read, but I think I was the only one that used it and I became concerned that it was slowing down the page load, so I took it down.

There's been quite a few over the years, and I wanted to have them easier to access, so here is the compiled list of all the songs in one spot, for convenience's sake. If you see a song here you don't know or are unfamiliar with, I strongly recommend you run it down and listen, they're well worth the time.

Wow a fantastic list!... I don't know them all but I know a majority of them...I prefer Chris Isaak's Solitary Man to Neil Diamond's.
