So... in a comment section I saw a link to a site. You know those motivational posters, the big black background with some inspirational picture and a slogan under them? You've probably seen a few, such as the one by here by this text. They are intended to hang in offices or homes to motivate you to great things!

DemotivatorDespair, Inc for about 10 years now has been putting out mockeries of these posters, with such samples as this one about clueless people. They have a whole line of humorous posters of this kind, calendars, etc. They make a nice gift to the right kind of person.

The web site I found lets you make your own. You can supply the picture, the layout, and the text, and it pops up with your very own motivational poster. Print it for yourself if you want, or mail it off. I made a few, in regards to the Hero role playing system. If you've never played Hero or know nothing about the rules, this will likely lack some of its humorous edge.

Area Effect

Don't be surprised if these start showing up on occasion on my site.

I used to have one of those Despair calendars hanging in my cubicle at an old job... it drove my 'positive mental attitude' obsessed manager absolutely nuts.

And when we got to the month that said: "Consulting: If you're not part of the solution, there's good money to be made in prolonging the problem." he actually made a concerted effort to have my calendar banned. Apparently that one struck a teensy weensy bit too close to home for him.

Maybe it's just my cynical nature but the despair ones always seemed more real than the motivational ones.
